In this post, I go over my experience: Halloween in Medellin is fun. I first wrote this post about my dating experience in Medellin back in April of Places frequented by tourists in Medellin are more saturated with foreigners than before. I am aware of the underworld of sex tourism and prostitution in Colombia and I know that there are many strip clubs and brothels in Medellin; however, strippers and pros are not the types of girls that I date, nor is it something I would like to promote; therefore, I will not be referring to that in this post. Also, this is a narrative of my own experiences. It is not meant to be a guide or advice for other guys. Lastly, I do not intend to degrade or belittle women. Medellin just happens to have many of them.
Tons — Refers to an exaggerated quantity, as in tons of sunshine or tons of work. Dish — As in to dish out the latest rumor on someone. Pre-owned — What is so disgraceful about owning a used car now and then? We used to have hiring, training and orientation.

This month I feature a rather unusual photograph taken in Tunbridge Wells during WW1 showing soldiers sleeping in hammocks suspended between the trees.
A peaceful scene contrasted with the horrors in the trenches. Thousands of men like these assembled in Tunbridge Wells awaiting orders to move to the south coast and then to France and elsewhere. The exact location captured by this image is not known for there were a number of military camps set up in Tunbridge Wells. Camburn , however, the front of the image does not bear his usual caption and card number.

Lake Ontario bathymetric map. The action of the ice occurred along the pre-glacial Ontarian River valley which had approximately the same orientation as today’s basin. Material that was pushed southward by the ice sheet left landforms such as drumlins , kames , and moraines , both on the modern land surface and the lake bottom, reorganizing the region’s entire drainage system.

By Charles Choi April 25, 1: What goes into human mouths must come out, and the leavings can offer a glimpse into ancient lifestyles. The parasites that live and reproduce in our bodies say a lot more about us than we think. A menagerie of parasites infests modern humans, including nearly species of worms and more than 70 species of protozoa.
Knowledge of our hungry co-inhabitants is found in some of the earliest written documents, such as the Ebers papyrus , an ancient Egyptian scroll from BC that described intestinal parasites. Your Worms and You Given the long history that parasites share with humanity, scientists are finding that analyzing ancient specimens can shed light on our own history. For instance, previous work analyzing body lice suggested our ancestors started wearing clothing about , years ago.
However, their eggs typically possess very hard shells, and can survive for millennia, he explained. For instance, prior work discovered parasitic worm eggs in mummies dating from BC. Microscopic analysis of parasite eggs can only reliably identify a few species — often, scientists can only say if an egg belongs to a certain genus, or group of closely related species.

SO. So the word that received the most nominations this year was already banished, but today it is being used differently than it was in , when nominators were saying, “I am SO down with this list!”.
References and Notes 1. See Endnote 89 on page for an explanation. The plate tectonic theory, as first proposed, had 6 to 8 plates. This number has grown as followers of the theory have applied it to specific regions of the earth and found problems with the theory. Although textbooks usually mention only about a dozen plates, the theory now requires more than , most of them small. This is reminiscent of the use of epicycles, from A. Any theory can appear to explain facts if the theory has enough variables adjustable parameters.
Both the plate tectonic theory and the hydroplate theory claim that plates have moved over the globe. The plate tectonic theory says that plates move, by an unknown mechanism, slowly for hundreds of millions of years.
The fisherman who told the tale preferred to nameless, and confided only that he and his friend were from the East. I remember a story about a tunnel but no idea if it was true! It was a sad and, most likely, avoidable day when the church came down. The bell was left in the rubble and was saved by the Hoylake Outdoor Pool Trust who took it into safe keeping.
Recently the subject of guys and breakups came up and Sabrina and I went back and forth about what guys generally go through when they breakup. Simple enough to say, but I know plenty of women will talk about how some guy came off like an insensitive jackass after the relationship fell apart because of his actions post-breakup. If a guy is profoundly obnoxious or terrible after a breakup, it is most often a testament to how rough the breakup was on him.
Some people cope by lashing out. Jerry Seinfeld once said that breaking up a relationship needs to be like taking off a Band-aid — One motion: In the same regard, when a relationship ends, it is much much harder for a guy to go back and discuss and revisit and talk through and explain, etc. Personally, I have had breakups where I pretty much went cold.
I wanted her to be OK, I wanted good things for her in life, but I knew that nothing was going to make the situation better. No discussion was going to fix things, no clarity was to be had — it would have just been an emotional toilet for both of us.
